Pieces from the wheel

Watch the wobble fade — browse batch by batch.

The third firing is the blue period — and the batch where the potter stopped correcting the wheel and started collaborating with it. When the clay folded mid-throw, it became Plot Twist; when a bowl curved somewhere unplanned, it became The Accidental Ocean. The blues run deeper and moodier than ever (New Moon, Deep Field, First Frost, Blueberry), with glazes so alive one mug refuses to be the same colour twice. And then the milestone: Sou'wester, the first complex build — spout, half-lid, the lot — engineering where before there were only walls. Fifteen pieces that stopped asking the wheel for permission — two of which also stopped asking where the shelf was, went missing for a season, and have now been returned to the record (one straight from active duty in the fridge).
