Snowdrop

Batch 3

Barely bigger than an egg cup: glossy milk-white with wide little shoulders and a collar that rolls softly outward, like a turtleneck pulled up against the cold. The glaze thins to warm cream at the foot, where the kiln left one or two toasty freckles as a signature. Built to hold exactly one small stem — ideally the flower it's named after — and to look entirely content doing it.

Capacity
One flower. No negotiation.
Season
The very tail end of winter
Wearing
A turtleneck, against the cold
Fears
A bouquet
Party Trick
Making a roadside weed look deliberate
