The Accidental Ocean

Batch 3

A low, wide sweep of sapphire so deep it stops being glaze and starts being open water, with frost-blue spray freckling the rim like foam blown off a swell. The sides curve in one long, easy line the potter never planned — the wheel simply decided, mid-turn, on grace. Some oceans are made in seven days; this one happened in about forty seconds, by accident, beautifully.
