Joined at the Hip

Batch 5

Born as two separate throws — a flared bowl and a flared foot — then pressed together at the waist and fired into one inseparable hourglass. The join wears a mottled band of blue-grey and sand where the two clays negotiated terms, a glossy navy brim crowns the top, and inside, pale blue frost-flowers bloom in rings across a dusky ground, popped through with tiny moons. Two pots that agreed to become one silhouette, and never looked back. The commitment is structural.
