Tall Order
The biggest cup on the shelf, and thoroughly aware of it: straight-sided, generously tall, ringed top to bottom with fine throwing lines that catch the light in pale blue while ink-navy glaze runs deep between them. Here and there the colour gathers darker, the way water pools in a groove. Inside it goes darker still, down to a well of proper midnight. Fill it with anything at all and you will be a while.
